Axolotls love worms such as bloodworms (as a treat), red wigglers, or nightcrawlers. They will also eat nutrition pellets formulated for axolotls.
Axolotls grow to be 8-13 inches and need a minimum of 20 gallons to live in happily. They prefer dark spaces and they need a place to hide.
The water temperature should be around 65 degrees, with an absolute maximum at 70 degrees.
Do not use gravel of any kind as substrate, since axolotls will swallow it. You can use fine sand or no substrate at all.
